There won’t be any fireworks this year, and the pandemic has prevented enthusiasts from gathering for the popular Parade of Sail and more since 2019. Still, there will be plenty to enjoy online this weekend.

Starting Friday, Festevents will stream and share on its social media pages tall ship content, including historical photos and videos as well as prerecorded, behind-the-scenes footage and tall ship tours. They’ll also share live musical performances by local bands, culinary workshops, and arts and crafts for families.

If you miss standing dockside to watch the ships enter the harbor, the 2016′s water parade is already online.

For anyone looking for a cold drink to sip on while watching, Festevents has partnered with COVA Brewing Company to create a fest-themed brew: the Parade of Sails pilsner. The beer is available on tap this week, according to a Facebook post from the Norfolk brewery.

COVA Brewing is hosting a “Steal the Pint” event starting at 4 p.m. Thursday and will have limited edition COVA Brew Company and Norfolk Harborfest 2021 pint glasses while supplies last.

Keep an eye on Festevents’ accounts to catch the content: Facebook (facebook.com/Festevents), Instagram (@festevents), Twitter (@festevents) and YouTube (youtube.com/NorfolkFestevents).
