Something in the Water has announced the lineup for its Pop-Up Church on April 30, which includes a 19-time Grammy winner and a member of the legendary Clark Sisters.
The Sunday gospel service is the final day of Virginia Beach native Pharrell Williams’ three-day music festival. It’s open to the public and free. In 2019, around 2,500 people gathered to worship at the Pop-Up Church and more than 24 regional churches were represented.
This year’s lineup includes:
- Kirk Franklin
- Karen Clark Sheard and Bishop J. Drew Sheard
- Cory Ashury
- Chandler Moore
- Koryn Hawthorne
- Lecrae
- Pastor Mike Jr.
- Patrick Riddick and D’Vyne Worship
- Ryan Horton
- Tye Tribbett
- The Virginia Aires
- Voices Of Fire
The All Star Band — Adam Blackstone, Darrell Robinson and Morgan Turner — will provide the service’s music. Franklin, a 16-time Grammy winner, is a songwriter and rapper known for fusing his gospel music with an R&B and hip-hop sound.
As a member of the Clark Sisters, Clark Sheard was part of one of the most successful female acts in gospel music and a major influence on contemporary gospel. In 1997, she went solo and continued the family legacy of creating chart-ranking hits.
