Biscuit Belly opens in Chesapeake, serving brunch with gourmet biscuit sandwiches and cocktails

CHESAPEAKE — Chesapeake has a new brunch spot to tempt your tummy.

Biscuit Belly, a Kentucky-based restaurant, is opening its first Virginia location today at 605 Volvo Parkway.

It features gourmet biscuit breakfast sandwiches and cocktails such as mimosas and bloody marys.

A grand opening celebration is set for Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Biscuit Belly will be giving away $50 gift cards to the first 50 customers, coffee and other goodies.

The chain was founded in 2019 in Louisville. It plans to open at least 12 more locations in Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina by the end of 2023, according to a press release.

“Biscuit Belly is all about serving up more than just delicious Southern cooking to brunch lovers, we want to provide a place for people to come together and create memories over a delicious meal,” Lauren Coulter, co-founder and director of franchise sales and development for Biscuit Belly, said in a press release.
