Portsmouth — Police arrested a student who brought a firearm on school grounds Monday at I.C. Norcom High School.
Portsmouth police said in a Twitter post the student was “apprehended before entering the building and the firearm was recovered.”
It is unclear whether the student attends I.C. Norcom or another school in the district, according to department spokesperson Victoria Varnedoe.
Officials have not released additional details about the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
