1 dead, 1 injured in shooting at hotel near Norfolk International Airport

NORFOLK — One man died and another was injured Saturday afternoon in a shooting at a Residence Inn not far from Norfolk International Airport.

About 12:30 p.m., officers were called to the scene at 1590 N. Military Highway, Norfolk police said in a Tweet.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3 Tips app.
