PORTSMOUTH — A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in Portsmouth Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. in the 2800 block of Deep Creek Boulevard, near Frederick Boulevard, according to Portsmouth police. The toddler was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
The incident is under investigation.
Police have not released information about the circumstances of the shooting or a potential suspect.
