A 63-year-old woman died Saturday afternoon after she was hit by a vehicle in Virginia Beach.
Police responded to the crash around 4:40 p.m. in the 3300 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Investigators say Rose Mary Maier was crossing the street when she was hit. She was pronounced dead at 4:46 p.m.
Police say the driver, who has not been publicly identified, stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators.
It was not clear Sunday morning the driver was facing any charges. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
