The woman left Washington, D.C. after the girl’s father was awarded full legal custody of the child in a hearing July 26. Physical custody was split evenly between the two parents. The woman was last seen in Washington Friday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Virginia Beach police responded to the Oceanfront hotel after D.C. police were alerted to the location of the mother and child in the city.
