‘Diary of Anne Frank,’ ‘1984′ added to lists of ‘explicit’ materials taught in Hampton Roads classrooms

"To Kill a Mockingbird," "The Diary of Anne Frank," "A Midsummer Nights Dream" and more are among dozens of instructional materials used in Hampton Roads classrooms that may contain "sexually explicit content," according to school officials. Under Senate Bill 656, parents have the right to opt their child out of lessons using those materials and request alternative lessons.
