Portsmouth’s First Fridays will start March 6 with a performance by the Pushers comedy troupe.

The Wren Masters baroque quartet will perform at 4 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Great Bridge Presbyterian Church in Chesapeake.

The Battle of Chancellorsville, fought from April 30 until May 6, 1863 in Spotsylvania County, will be discussed at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Chesapeake Central Library. The Hampton Roads Civil War Round Table invites everyone to its January public meeting where historian Frank A. O’Reilly will explain how Gen. Robert E. Lee achieved a unique victory.

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s brass and percussion ensemble will perform its annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Chesapeake Conference Center, 700 Conference Center Drive.

On Dec. 14, the entire family is invited to "Mary Poppins Returns" at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts and the Suffolk Holiday Parade in downtown Suffolk.
